Entry for :iconanimafanclub:'s summer contest. When I think of summer, the thing that comes to my mind (other than heat XP) for me is catching bugs. When I was little, before watching fireworks on the 4th of July, my neighbors and I would play around outside and try to catch fireflies and grasshoppers. The occasional butterfly was always fun to run after, too, so that's why this picture is full of 'em. :aww:

So let's just say for this scene all four of the +Anima kids ran out to catch fireflies and Husky and Nana just happened to stumble on a whole bunch of butterflies. :D I'm sure Nana would be happy with that! And yes, I'm aware that Husky isn't that much taller than she is ... actually, he's supposed to be standing and she's supposed to be crouching/leaning over a little in the very tall grass. Meh, that works. ^^

Done in Prismacolors.
Took way too many hours.

EDIT: Wow, took me awhile to find out, but I actually won the contest! Thank you everyone who voted for me ... you don't know how much I appreciate it! :hug: ~:heart:~

Pretty good, I really like the positioning, although, the hair is a little flat, the eyes are different then the original, the eyebrows or too high and Husky is a tad too tan. Other then that it is good. Love Always Averiella

I just meant that the iris of the eye in the manga makes up the most eye, the one you drew was just a little smaller. Thats all.

In most panels, you're right. ^^ I did reference the manga for the eyes however, so whatever panel I looked at they had small pupils ... but either way~ ^^ Thank you again!
